We replaced the original mainsail and boom with the ProFurl In-Boom Furling System when we purchased our boat in 2001.   We also installed an Anderson electric wench in the cockpit to assist in raising and lowering the mainsail.

This has been great, when we see a squall on the radar, we can lower or reef our mainsail in minutes, from the cockpit.   We also use the one electric wench to raise the dinghy, pull in the gib sheets and raise each other up the mast.
